This page is a work in progress…
From August 26 through October 26, 2020, Kryss and Grant Helfrich (my daughter and son-in-law) and I journeyed through the United States of America on a mission to bring attention to the usability and re-trainability of the Off the Track Thoroughbred (OTTB) horse. With us went the star of the show, Lady J, her Quarter Horse buddy Chica, and 4 terriers that are a family in themselves.
We were all packed into my 2005 Bison 3-horse Living Quarters trailer, which was roomy enough to accommodate even a small table and chairs upon which we played Go Fish! for hours when sheltering from an early season snow storm in South Dakota. The kids got the bed, while I slept on the couch, which turned out to be really rather comfy.
Above is the map of where we went. There are probably some variations of actual routes, since I made this map simply from Google Maps’ directions. I did track our actual routes on my GPS, but instead of one long file there seems to be about a dozen that I need to download and interpret. I will upload those routes as I get them mapped.
